The good thing about Walmart is that you can be able to make various claims using their online platform. One type of such a claim is a product assist protection plan. When you make a purchase at a Walmart store, you are normally offered the option of purchasing a replacement plan or extended warranty on products that qualify. There is usually a time limit which is within 3 months of the purchasing the qualifying item. Once you have made sure you have the receipt and you have registered the item you bought, you will need to make sure you have met the following requirements:

  • A computer with internet access
  • A store receipt for the purchase of the item you want to extend warranty
  • A valid email address
  • Be a resident of either Canada or the United States

Step-by-step guide

1. Visit www.productassist.com/walmart

2. Look for a link the says ‘register product’ and click on it

3. A new page will appear that will require you to fill in some information. Fill in all relevant information

4. Find the check box that has a statement saying you product was purchased at Walmart and click on it

5. Once you have finished this section, you will be required to provide your personal information such as phone number, email, address and name

6. Ensure that all parts of the form have been filled correctly

7. After counter checking the information you have filled, scroll to the bottom and click on the ‘submit’ button

When the sections have been completed and your form is successfully submitted, you will have registered your product. Keep a copy of the original receipt safe as it may be required should the product fail to work properly.
